Privacy policy
Plain-English version. The short answer: very little data collection, no advertising cookies, no third-party trackers beyond cookieless analytics.
What we collect
Page views via Plausible Analytics. Plausible is a privacy-friendly analytics service that does not use cookies and does not collect personally identifiable information. It tells us roughly how many people visit which pages, from which country, on which device class — all in aggregate. See Plausible's data policy for the full technical details.
Outbound click events on affiliate links, also via Plausible. We track which products people click through to, in aggregate, so we can prioritize useful comparisons. No individual click is tied to any individual person.
Email addresses if you opt in on locked-preview pages or future seasonal-alert signups. Used only to send the specific notification you signed up for. Never sold, rented, or shared with third parties. Unsubscribe in one click.
What we don't collect
- No cookies for tracking, advertising, or fingerprinting.
- No third-party advertising networks.
- No Google Analytics, no Facebook Pixel, no LinkedIn Insights tag, no TikTok pixel.
- No cross-site behavioral profiles.
- No selling, sharing, or renting of any data we do collect.
Affiliate cookies
When you click an affiliate link, the destination merchant (Amazon, Chewy, REI, etc.) may set their own cookies on their site under their own privacy policy. Those cookies are how the merchant attributes your purchase to us if you buy something. We don't read them and have no access to them.
Opt out of analytics
To opt out of Plausible analytics on this site: visit
https://plausible.io/tickalmanac.com?plausible_ignore=true once from each browser you use. The flag persists per-device via localStorage.
You can also install the Plausible browser extension to opt out globally.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us at contact and we will delete it.
Changes
We will update this page if anything material changes about what we collect or share. Substantial changes get a top-of-page notice for at least 30 days.
