Who signs off on what

Every page that touches a medical, veterinary, or entomology claim is reviewed by a named human expert in that specialty. Reviewers are paid per page, disclose conflicts of interest, and retain veto authority on safety and accuracy claims. Reviewer bios appear here as the bench fills out.

Recruitment in progress

We're actively recruiting Tier 2 medical, Tier 3 DVM/parasitologist, and Tier 4 entomology reviewers from the channels named in our editorial policy: AMWA freelance directory, AAVP/CAPC member networks, university extension entomology programs, and direct outreach to authors of authoritative tick references.

Every page awaiting signoff carries a visible awaiting-reviewer badge in the header and emits a noindex meta tag so it doesn't compete in Google search until a reviewer co-signs the content.

Reviewer compensation & terms

  • Per-page rate — $150-$500 (medical), $150-$400 (DVM), $100-$300 (entomology); agreed before each assignment.
  • Paid trial review on 1-2 sample pages before any longer engagement.
  • Net-30 invoice; project-scoped work can use milestones.
  • 5-10 business day SLA per page; flag early if you need more.
  • Required COI disclosure for pesticide, repellent, pet-preventive, tick-testing, supplement, and related industry relationships. Disclosed conflicts re-route page assignment; they don't end the engagement.
  • Visibility requirement — your name, credentials, "last reviewed" date appear on every reviewed page; we build a reviewer profile page with bio + disclosures.
  • Veto authority — reviewers can refuse to sign off on a specific page without ending the engagement.
